Had dinner with mum at lao pa sat.
Uniquely Singapore came up with a marketing campaign to draw more crowd. I can't rem specifically but it had something to do with reminiscing the good old days. There were black and white Ramlee (sp?) movies, singers singing oldies and iceballs sold at yesterday's price which cannot be found.
Digress... Lao pa sat has this weird smell tt infiltrates the entire place. Smells like bamboo shoots and somewhat like pee. Fyi bamboo shoots smells like pee if u dun wash it properly.. the panda might have watered it. Mum couldn't stand it and we eventually sat outside.
The band was singing familiar songs that accompanied my childhood years. The song that drew the most response was the young one. I like tt song but its a tad sad but realistic.

It's heartwarming to note that the 60s and 70s were characterised by such genres of decent music. The genre that dominates our music scene is Rnb?? Well I do like the grooves Rnb give but the lyrics are trashy most of the time?
Yo momma.. or Drop it like its hot.. Or even You can be my beyonce and i can be yr Jayz? I'm the housefly and you r the dung... :P
Picture that when we all look like raisins and prunes (depending how prosperous you are) and let say Uniquely Singapore decided to hold an event to draw some crowd to Lao pa sat again or Zouk.. hmm a lil to much for me to imagine for tonight.
