To the stars that played with the darkness
I sang of love and burned up completely

back in stc
Friday, November 25, 2005 @ 10:20 PM

I got on the train and i alighted at orchard. I took a peep at the time and it was only 8.15 am. Oh mine! i need to reset my sense of timing. I think i'm pretty used to giving myself 2 hrs to wherever my destination is. (1 hr is for my shower + drying my hair + deciding wad to wear and the remaining 1 hr is for the journey to wherever im supposed to go. )

i boarded the 2nd 65 bus ( deliberately gave the 1st one a miss since it was crowded and im super early). everything felt so familiar except that im no longer 13, 14, 15 or 16 yrs old and im no longer in my blue uniform. i remember vividly the first time i took 65 to sch :)

this was the 4th time i went back to stc after i graduated. the 3rd time was theresian family day i think and i went back with lulu to checkout the funfair.

i think it is really true when you start to count your blessings.. you will realised that there are so many little things in life tt makes you smile and glow with joy.

it never crossed my mind that i would be back in stc to attend a grad ceremony. anyway i went back to attend yishan shimei's grad...

that's her and me at the foyer.

i really really really miss stc alot.. esp those beautiful memories with britch val amelia and frens who used to be really closed. With the excessive time i had.. i went to the bookshop to search for anything that bears the stc logo. -so silly yea?- i even wanted to buy the new polo pe t shirt ( the old 1 was sleeveless).

one of the walls i used to lean on during mass/assembly.

saw miss goh and she is now known as mrs ng. she's married to her beau whom she has dated for 9 years. Know wad was the 1st thing that struck her when i told her i wasn't attendin my sis's grad.

Ms Goh: attending your gf's one huh?

me: roll eyes.. pls do i look crooked to you?

for that moment.. i was wondering if she thought i was the dyke or i was the fem.. hmm anyway i can't blame her. her deepest impression of me being one is certainly well kept.. tsk tsk.

i saw mr sng, mr yeo, ms wong.. and yea i spoke to her. as usual.. she's so err quiet? and that gave me the impression that she's only talkative to dawn n val gang. the grad ceremony was great and it was certainly more impressive than mine? hmm actually i couldnt rem what was my grad ceremony like.. my vague impression of it was going up the stage in my white dress.. gave that splastic smile and walked down the steps very carefully. oh yea after the grad ceremony, i rem jas britch vicki and i went to the art room to take our "d7 art piece" to work on it.

wang lao shi who hmm was my "chinese teacher". he didn't teach me before but he was there to help those who wanted to retake chinese. he's really nice and we have alot to talk abt each time we see each other (ahem unlike some). i like that qin qie gan. hey isn't that wad a sch should provide.. a sch shldn't be a hostile environment or one that only rekindles the fear of mugging/exams/detentions right?

there was this sudden flood of memories as i walked around the sch with her and i felt so nostalgic. there were alot of changes to the school surroundings and the changes are still undergoing. i believed the quote that says.. nothing is certain forever except changes, kinda fit in perfectly.. i remember rushing for chem/phy/home econs/art/music lessons... switching classes with seniors each time somebody sprained her ankle.. our 1st literature play and i looked absolutely bloated in those pics. eh i should have requested for those pics for mementos. i wished i took more photos back then.. never mind that i was quite plump and nerdy.

it certainly warms my heart with all the reminiscencing...
