back from fop friday nite. all right to be frank, eh i din enjoy it as much as i did compared with don moen's concert which i personally feel that is a more simpler approach to worshipping God.
fest of praise is fine jus that im not used to hearing people speaking in tongue (and i jus can't help looking at them or rather their lips) and jumping around. all right i did jump alittle cos i din wanna break the "kallang wave" when the people im holding hands with were jumping.
i know im guilty of being alittle more judgemental on charismatic. Be it their style or worship or their sermon. My brain automatically does a radar scan, detects something that i disagree and refute it. E.g. Let's invite the holy spirit to dwell in the house (stadium) right now and yea they began to speak in tongues which sound erm no offence pretty much the same. My reaction would be since when the Holy spirit isn't with us, He lives in you and me! See my defensive nature at work?
We are one family in christ and though i cant comprehend the things they do/say i still love them ( haha trying).
Let me quote from the book "faith-dipped chocolate"
Jesus Christ should be the foundation of our Christian faith no matter what our form of worship. Individal exhibit reverence by kneeling/dancing. Voices may accompany electrical guitars, a cathedral's organ, or nothing at all. Differences in mannerisms and personality are not issues of faith. They are simply evidence that our Lord Jesus Christ is the grand master of variety1 Cor 3 : 11 ( For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ )can i have a good amen? lol okie i shan't be mean ( u will only realise im mean if u have detected something in my question) dun get it? think...
